卍LINE a.k.a Kubozuka

You heard right! Your boy – Kubozuka, who now likes to be known as 卍LINE (Manji Line), is coming to our humble lil town next month to throw up one of his reggae sets. If you’ve ever seen Ikebukuro West Gate Park, Ping Pong, GO!, GTO (the list goes on) or ever just picked up a copy of the Supreme catalogue, Ollie, Smart or Samurai then you’ll know that his visit to our shores is no joke. So if you’re in the mood for some Japanese reggae madness (these cats go nuts!) or just wanna mack on the hundreds of screaming girls who will undoubtedly be there, then this event is for you.

For pre-sold tix ($25) hit us up at the shop.

Rocksmith owning it

Rocksmith have been making major moves in the States recently with their 90’s rap throw-back steez. Here’s a few examples of what we mean.

To commemorate the highly anticipated on-stage return of Black Star, the legendary duo of Mos Def and Talib Kweli, presented by Rocksmith, they are releasing two t-shirts on May 30th. The two designs will be available during the Black Star show this Saturday at Nokia Theater in NYC. Unfortunately we won’t be getting them down this way, but ask your cousin in the States to see what he can do for you.

I’m The Izza Kizza

The Rocksmith Slash Windbreaker and Double Cross Hoody make an appearance here in I’m Izza Kizza in the Jersey based artist’s latest clip.

Be sure to check out the current season of Rocksmith Tokyo at instore now.

YouTube

We’ve just opened up a channel on Youjizz Youtube (under TekiLaTeik) to upload our videos to (more to come soon). If you haven’t already seen the HD version of HALFSLEEVE presents… and your computer runs slower than Brian Scalbrine then this is for you. Peace

Introducing ... A.T.G

A.T.G. (All Things Good) is the creation of 30-year-old fashion designer and entrepreneur Stephen “Christo” Christopherson. The label, which had its conception as a one-off confluence of fashion and art, was first introduced to Australian stores in 2007. Since then, it has expanded rapidly in both national and international markets.

Taking a fresh and unique approach to fashion, A.T.G. began by Stephen’s reinvention and appropriation of detailed floral prints – in the past, traditionally used only in women’s attire – and applying them to an all mens’ range of high-end street wear.

Stephen’s inspiration also comes from years of working out of the famous China Heights Gallery located in Sydney, Australia, a meeting ground and melting pot of the city’s bohemian culture. At any one time, the studios consist of several individual resident artists and creatives working in fashion, fine arts, photography and design. The space draws a regular crowd, and is known for its weekly exhibitions, it’s roster including the likes of Bigfoot, Eric Orr, Zoo York, Mr Cartoon, design is kinky, Enjoi Skateboards, Adidas and many other local artists, photographers and designers with a full calendar over 2008.

Having drawn directly from his experiences and the wellspring of artistic endeavor on display at China Heights, Stephen found his work informed and influenced by a wide array of varying mediums. It was this realization that led him to decide to showcase local and international artists by incorporating them as feature artists for individual ranges under the A.T.G banner.

We are very excited to announce the introduction of up-and-coming Australian label A.T.G (All Things Good) to the shop.

We were lucky enough to pick up a few pieces from each season to date and even some stuff that hasn’t been released to the public yet. This stuff is killing it at the moment in Japan – which is never a bad thing. Just check out the pics above. Nuff said.

Limited stock available in Australia … so best be quick.

Also, from the same creator comes a few pieces from his first effort – 2nd Movement. All of the following pieces are hand crafted incorporating vintage kimono materials from Japan. There are a few sizes of the pockets tees, but all the hoods are staight up one-offs. Yeowch!
